The iPhone 4G Saga

Over the last few weeks a story has been unfolding over the uncovering of a prototype for the new iPhone.

So the story so far goes...

*An Apple employee loses a phone in a bar in California.

*The phone is sold to techy blog Gizmodo who in turn give the phone a good going over *and air to the world.

*Apple then issue a letter demanding the return of their property (see here).

*Police raid Gizmodo editor Jason Chen's home and seize his computing equipment (see here).

*Brian Hogan owns up to finding the phone and selling it for $5,000 (see here).

I can't imagine Apple being anything other than embarrassed about the whole situation but the way they have dealt with it could have been handled better. It would seem that Jon Stewart agrees too as he went in on Apple and their heavy handed response saying “Apple you guys were the rebels man, the underdogs. People believed in you. But now, are you becoming The Man? Remember back in 1984, you had those awesome ads about overthrowing Big Brother? Look in the mirror, man!”

It'll be interesting to see what happens next to the iPhone 4G, Gizmodo and even Brian Hogan.

In the meantime check out the new phone!!
