Call of Duty: Black Ops - World Premiere Trailer

All the gamers out there with the slightest interest in a good shoot-em-up will no doubt have at least one of the Call of Duty series of games in their collection.

Personally i'm not a big fan of World War 2 games but I love the Modern Warfare editions.

Next in line to be released is Call of Duty: Black Ops which is due for release November this year.

Check out the official trailer below. Looks like another hit to me!

Doodle 4 Google

Google set up an art competition for kids (in the U.S) to design Google artwork based on the theme 'If I could do anything, I would....'.

You can visit the Google 4 Doodle website and vote for regional finalists. Some of them are pretty damn good! It's hard to believe some of the artists are just 7...I'm just hating though because my artwork doesn't extend far beyond stickmen :)

Woman Claims She Got Pregnant From 3D Film

The wife of a US Army soldier, Jennifer Stweart, claims she got pregnant by watching a 3D adult film while visiting friends in New York.

38-year-old Jennifer Stweart used the bizarre claims to explain to her husband why their child was black, despite the lovers being very much white skinned.

Jennifer Stewart said her child looks just like a black actor in the adult movie she claims to have watched in 3D with her east coast pals.

“A month after watching the movie, I started feeling dizzy and the results were positive,” Jennifer Stweart said.

Stewart also admits her marriage to the US military man who serves overseas could be in trouble: “Even though my husband believed in me, my marriage could be at risk. But he knows I’m faithful” she said.

Despite his wife’s bizarre explanation, Iraq US military man Erick Johnson said: “I see it as suspicious. The films in 3D are very real. With today’s technology, anything is possible.”

Sounds ridiculous and possibly fake but made me laugh anyway!

The iPhone 4G Saga

Over the last few weeks a story has been unfolding over the uncovering of a prototype for the new iPhone.

So the story so far goes...

*An Apple employee loses a phone in a bar in California.

*The phone is sold to techy blog Gizmodo who in turn give the phone a good going over *and air to the world.

*Apple then issue a letter demanding the return of their property (see here).

*Police raid Gizmodo editor Jason Chen's home and seize his computing equipment (see here).

*Brian Hogan owns up to finding the phone and selling it for $5,000 (see here).

I can't imagine Apple being anything other than embarrassed about the whole situation but the way they have dealt with it could have been handled better. It would seem that Jon Stewart agrees too as he went in on Apple and their heavy handed response saying “Apple you guys were the rebels man, the underdogs. People believed in you. But now, are you becoming The Man? Remember back in 1984, you had those awesome ads about overthrowing Big Brother? Look in the mirror, man!”

It'll be interesting to see what happens next to the iPhone 4G, Gizmodo and even Brian Hogan.

In the meantime check out the new phone!!

Harrison & Haye - Heavyweight Ambitions

Over the past couple of weeks the ever brightly shining star of David Haye continued to rise and the nearly burnt out star of Audley Harrison showed it still has a bit of twinkle left.

Haye, who has grown more and more popular with the public, and although still putting some off with his trash talking, has an uncanny knack of backin up his chat. After just 25 seconds of his 1st heavyweight championship defence, Haye dropped John Ruiz who had previously only been knocked out once. Luckily for anybody who forked out to watch the fight, Ruiz was up for taking a lot more punishment, being knocked down twice more before his corner threw in the towel in the 9th round.

Impressive again, David Haye showed he is a breath of fresh air to the heavyweight division with his swift movement and hammer like blows. Next up must be the Klitschko brothers and it seems Haye has definitely got their attention by the looks of Wladimir's comical video calling him out. He sounds like he'd be well cast for a baddy in a Die Hard film or something like that.

Now on to Audley....hmm. Our good friend and blog sister DJ Nikki is a good friend of Audley's and was invited to watch him as he won his "win or retire" bout for the European Championship against Michael Sprott. I am assured that he is a great guy and I don't doubt that. As your average boxing fan though it's a shame not to have the same insight.

A-Force, or as some have dubbed him, "A-Farce" or "Fraudley", was basically fighting for his career against an opponent who had previously knocked him out. Harrison laboured for most of the fight and found himself behind on the judges cards entering the 12th round. To be fair he was fighting with a shoulder injury for the majority of the fight...but saying that, Haye manage to defeat Valuev being one handed most of the fight? And I can assure you Sprott is no Valuev! To his credit Audley managed to dig in and rocked Sprott with a massive left which ended the fight in the 12th.

Now I have a few issues with Harrison...to me, in the fights i've seen, he just doesn't look comfortable in the ring. He fights on the back foot and almost looks scared on occasions. There's no doubt he was a talented amateur, they don't give away Olympic golds for nothing, but he just hasn't cut it as a pro. All this I could forgive though if it wasn't for his incessant self hyping and unrealistic boasts. If David Haye is the poster boy for talking sh!t and being able to back it up, Audley is the flag bearer for all those with delusions of grandeur.

You have to have confidence in any sport to do well and in boxing, a bit of self promotion is all part of the game. When your claims are so unrealistic and out of touch with public opinion though, so that even those who used to support you are alienated, you have to wonder whether it's time to pack it in.

When all is said and done I wish luck to both of them, I just hope Audley is able to reclaim some humility and then i'll be behind him all the way.

UK Talent: Open Your eyes to Obenewa

I'm all for showcasing UK talent and giving them the spotlight.

Obenewa is the younger sister of my friend Nadine Charles (get to know the name as I'll be blogging more on her). I have to thank Nadine for hooking me up on the guest list to witness Obenewa tear it up in Shoreditch House. The place was packed with industry people, other musicians and what not. Me being me bumped into a couple of faces I know. The crowd was loud as hell but I kinda zoned out when the host said that Obenewa was about to come on stage as all I wanted to hear the music.

Obenewa came on the stage with a guitar, and took a seat whilst the crowd clapped her. I first felt like I was in an underground world as I know I’m a big music lover and not to be big headed I know my music, but this was new to me as I’ve never heard of Obenewa. Mark my words though, I will never forget her now. As she sang away, I was like yeah this girl is bad. The UK can stand tall with talent like this and my ears were wide open.

I was clapping along and rocking side to side. Not knowing any of her songs, when the crowd were singing along, I just stood there amazed. Obenewa got the crowd to sing along after giving instructions and I loved it as she got the guys to sing one bit and then the ladies.

I'm downloading the mixtape as I type this (some killer tunes on here too)

Just wanted to big up Obenewa for opening my ear to some great music.

On that note here is the link for Obenewa's mixtape called “Therapy”

Rehab for Kids

It’s no secret that nowadays kids have pimped out bedrooms including TVs, laptops or computers, Playstations, X-boxes and Wii’s.

Its been reported that a London clinic is launching the country's first therapy programme for children addicted to the internet and computer games. Like me you maybe think errr what the hell is going on with todays world, but really thinking about it, children are not as active as there use to be. Yeah I'm old school, I used to love P.E at school. Don't get me wrong, computer games were great at the time but playing football on the street corner with my friends was our number one hobby (I rememeber shouting out car when a car was coming so we all stopped).

Nowadays the computer games are more advanced, social networking is a bug and you can watch all sorts on the internet now. I was a little bit confused when my little brothers got homework and were told to research on the computer (what happened to books).

I never had to go to rehab for playing Pro Evo for hours upon hours, but this clinic wants to treat children as young as 12 that have serious issues, such as flying into a rage if they have been told to switch it off. Its been said that they will have to go cold turkey and also be taught face to face social skills.

Question may be how long should a child be on a computer? A survey of a secondary school children revealed that more then a quarter are spending more then six hours a day on computers. Some symptoms are said to be sleep disorders, fatigue and depression. This is really beyond a faze if these reports are true, but is rehab the answer? I'm just thinking of all these other so called clinics that celebs attend and are in and out more times then a 24hr McDonald’s drive thru.

A friend of mine was going on about internet bullying, I'm still abit confused on how you can but then again anything is possible, but can't you just block them?! Just reading in the paper that a young girl took an overdose after class mates tormented her on Bebo. I mean this is taking things to far, if you are like that then don’t display yourself to the internet world as you can be open to anything. In a perfect world yes people will say great things about you but hey that's not the world we live in and for that sake people, kids etc need to learn to keep some things to themselves. It’s like people want everybody to know everything about them.

This computer and internet issue is not just a children problem as adults suffer too. Maybe you could be one of them without realising.

Here is a list of key things to spot if you are an addict:

Do you ignore and avoid other work or activities to spend more time on-screen?

Do you often check messages or e-mails before doing something else you need to do, even delaying meals?

Do you prefer to spend time with people online or through messaging to socialising?

With the world going crazy with Blackberries and IPhones, it seems that we have gone crazy for these gadgets that allow us to use facebook, msn and other social sites on our phones. Just think sometimes before you spend hours on end on the internet, or perhaps even try a good old fashioned chat face to face!

With all this being said…..make sure you keep reading this blog! :)
