Tactical Nuclear Penguin - The 'World's Strongest Beer'

Beer...Some people love it, some hate it. Personally i'm not a big fan but don't mind the odd one every now and then. Generally beer and lager are drinks with quite a low alcohol content if you compare it to wines and spirits. That is until now.

BrewDog who are based in Scotland and are not new to controversial beers, with their previous releases being the 18.2% beer 'Tokyo' and the low alcohol 'Nanny State'. Tactical Nuclear Penguin though puts those in the shade by being the first 32% beer.

Hold up...32% beer?! Surely a pint of that would have even got Bill Werbeniuk wasted! (If you haven't heard of him, google it!). This beer is not supposed to be drank in the traditional way though, a warning label on the bottle instructs "This is an extremely strong beer; it should be enjoyed in small servings and with an air of aristocratic nonchalance. In exactly the same manner that you would enjoy a fine whisky, a Frank Zappa album or a visit from a friendly yet anxious ghost."

BrewDog managing director says "This beer is about pushing the boundaries, it is about taking innovation in beer to a whole new level." If you say so James. Not being a beer connoisseur myself I couldn't give a Castlemaine XXXX. Tactical Nuclear Penguin will apparently be on sale in limited supply for £30 a bottle.

I'll have a JD and coke please...
